I think it's been like twenty degrees around here... Honestly, I'm hoping for another huge winter storm like last year. xD We missed like... a lot of school. Like over ten days or so. It was awesome.

I JUST GOT BACK FROM MY CHRISTMAS CONCERT. It was awesome. Personally, I don't think the chorale choir (the one I'm in) did very well; it could have been a lot better, and with a better song selection. But the madrigal choir and the jazz band were amaaazing. The madrigal choir's "The First Noel" was beautiful; brought tears to my eyes. Jazz band was awesome with its drums and trumpets and such.
I was walking in heels too loose and was nervous the whole time about slipping out of them, especially because I was the one who had to lead the rest of the choir on to the risers. xP
...But to tie this all in with our current discussion, it was FREEZING out and wearing pantie hoes... I hate that word.... xP Did not help.
And I wasn't feeling pumped until the last song we did with the madrigal choir and the symphonic band, which was the Holiday Sing-Along. It had Deck the Halls, Jingle Bells, O Christmas Tree, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas in it. Dunno why, but I prefer the classics to those fancy songs. xP But yeah. c:

And I agree, the classics are the best.

I KNOW RIGHT. My best friend in real life said she doesn't celebrate Christmas, which I pretended to be offended at, since that's my birthday, buut yeah. I think it's kinda sad that some people don't get into the Christmas spirit. I guess, from a religious view, yeah, but to me it's more than the religion thing... It's about being with people and being happy and appreciating the good in your life and... The music is just so soul-gripping. To me, anyway. Christmas also reminds me of youth and innocence, something we lack so much of right now. It brings me back to better times, when one didn't have to worry about drugs and violence and all that and could just focus on having fun. Makes me think of all the time I lost with my family, all the time I could have spent with them. But at the same time, so beautiful... I love it.

Classics are definitely the best. I mean, the fancier ones, they're all good and stuff... But I'd rather listen to "Deck the Halls" or "The First Noel" rather than "Hush My Babe" or "I Saw Three Ships." xP

Same with me! It's part religious, part family friends, excitement, and holiday spirit! It is beautiful. Christmas is amazing like that

I KNOWW. Like "Hush My Babe." It literally never mentions Christmas at all. It's just a lullaby song. I like it, but it's not really a Christmas song. xP

There's a lot of them that are just plain annoying and they give Christmas music a bad name. Or they'll sing traditional ones but it will be a terrible version or just plain horrible singer.

I think my school's Glee club is going out caroling tonight, actually.

I hated caroling as a kid.
Now it's okay since I'm not forced into it anymore.

I never liked it either. Much too cold.
