I Said Sorry, You Walked Away

I've been needing to write more poetry. And I get the words in my head, and even a rhythm and stuff, but when I get to typing it... It is completely difference, and worse, if I may add. xP But whatever.

It was never enough

We had it all
We were so strong
Now, you’d give anything
To watch me fall

One little fight
Who was wrong,
Who was right?

I told you I was sorry
But it was never enough
You ignore me now
And that’s fine
Just give me back the memories
Because they’re mine

You deserted me
You left me alone
I was always right there
I would never leave you alone

I’m tired of feeling guilty
Sick of being wrong
You knew I was sorry
You knew all along

I said sorry
You walked away

I’m not sorry
You wouldn’t stay

SO BASICALLY. This is about my once best friend, who pretty much ditched me for other people, over a fight. On the Internet. And how I tried to apologize, but she would ignore me and never tried to fix it. AFTER ONE STUPID FIGHT. I miss her, but... Obviously, if she didn't want to hold on to our friendship, then I guess all hope of rekindling it is gone. And I know the lines "Just give me back the memories because they're mine" kinda sounds... Selfish, in a way? But basically I was just saying if the friendship didn't mean that much to her, then she doesn't need the memories, not the good or the bad, and because I cared enough to try to save it, I should get them. Metaphorically speaking, of course.
...I like giving backgrounds for my poems. xP But yeah. Mostly a vent, but state your opinions and whatnot.
