They Say...

They say it is not possible to live
Without the love we all desire so
And yet you left me here alone to thrive
Not knowing that you’d ever stoop so low

They say the young are rude, a bit uncouth,
But there is one thing that they need to know,
I’ll wait here forever to learn the truth
Of why I was left alone in the snow

Yet my heart is as empty as a cave
For you and mother were my first true loves,
How can I just sit there while they say ‘be brave’
As your life flies away like flights of doves?

They say ‘sorry’ as soul and body part,
I hear a loud tear and know it’s my heart.

Topaz, this poem is very good, but some people just like different styles. I write my poems a lot like Moonlite Knight, and some people don't like that way. Others like funny rhyming ones. Everybody has different tastes.
