Its easy to forget,
To push it out of mind,
To think we’ve never met,
To cut the ties that bind.

I lie in a corner
And wait for you to see
Past that small sad loner
And that girl who is me.

It’s easy to forget
And hard to remember.
Is that the way life’s set?
Must we fade, like embers?

But now I vow to you,
You won’t be forgotten
