Fireworks.

I meant to post this on the fourth. But I never got around to it. xD I guess I'm a procrastinator...

A flame ignites in the night,
Eagerly tearing up the wick.
It moves upwards,
Shooting across the sky.
Breaths are taken in,
Eyes watch the sky with wonder.
Tonight is the night of our freedom,
We'd have it no other way.
A small ringing is heard,
Then a loud thud.
As colours as strewn about,
Scribbling across the night sky.
Slowly it fades,
Breaths are let out.
And a cheer rises up.
Tonight we are free.

It would have fit with the 4th but I understand why you couldn't post it..
I never came on that day, I was with my friends all day!
