Bar-br-uh. That's how I pronounce it if I see it written. If the person is introducing herself to me and pronounces it different then I call her that.

Bar-br-uh is the only way I've ever heard it pronounced.
Same with Deborah. My boss' name is spelled Debrah, so there's no doubt about that one at least. :P

Maybe not a really clear sound on the second syllable, but it's still there.

I say the second, but a couple of other people say it the first way.

I said it the second way and my friends said it was adorable... then said they pronounced it the other way.

That's what I do, Hazel.
So words that are said differently than they are spelled often confuse me. xD
Oh, and I can't say the word 'specific'/'specifically'.
