Re: 1000~8~!
I understand everything.
We had snakes in my yard.
Yes, my dad killed them, which I didn't agree with in the least bit.
But I disagree with everything you said.
Bears generally (note, I said generally, as every single creature is different) don't attack unless they are threatened.
I've seen bears at zoos, on tv, and everything.
They are NOT naturally vicious creatures.
Oh, I'm horrible?
For believing that animals, humans, and every other dag-on creatures are equal?
Yeah, I can see that I'm just a pitiful excuse for a person.
Please, let me be killed for my cruel, evil mind.

Re: 1000~8~!
Ok well fine. Bears up here are naturally vicious. You can disagree if you like but you're wrong because you've never been here, as far as I know.
I never said they are naturally vicious. I do believe I've said that same thing already. I said they are unpredictable, which means they act in a surprising way they we don't expect because sometimes they attack without any form of provoking.
Hahahaha the zoo? tv? you're kidding I hope.
so if me and my friends were attacked by a bear in the woods it would be our fault for being there? It would be ok as long as the bear wasn't hurt hmm?
and you missed the point. You aren't horrible for thinking animals have rights too. If it weren't for people like you, people could just take over the world. I think it's horrible that you said it's the people's fault because they should no better. Experienced people can get killed by bears all the time. I know they're there but that isn't going to protect me from them

Re: 1000~8~!
Two wrongs don't make a right.
Don't kill the bear for being a bear.
And I said other places, too.
Just because I've seen them in zoos and tvs, though, doesn't make my argument any less valid.
I'll disagree, and I'm not wrong, because bears are in a lot of places; your location isn't freaking special.
You see, I desire to be a zoologist in the future (along with being an author, perhaps) and I know my animals pretty well.
And no, but it wouldn't be right to kill the bear just because it killed a person.
Animals are killed all the time (hunting, for example) but not a single human is killed to make up for it.

Re: 1000~8~!
I'm not trying to be mean and argumental ok? I just wanted to clarify.
And yes it makes it less valid because wild bears are so different in the wild than a zoo or tv show.
And yes location plays a very big part. Bears here could be different, different attitudes, different mentality, different everything.
Cool! Kudos for you. i bet being a zoologist would be a great job. Especially since you love animals.
And I'm against hunting unless used for eating purposes, so yeah
and well i'm off biking, i hope I don't get eaten. I understand you have different views than I do (and the vast population of alaska ) and I know you aren't wrong, but neither am I. We'll just have to agree to disagree. Since we're both really opinionated this would just go on forever
I enjoyed seeing your views and now I am off to brave the local parks!!! byebye talk to you later

Re: 1000~8~!
No, my argument is still as valid.
I've seen them in the wild as well; and no, location doesn't really play a part in it. Bears are bears, though with different personalities, just as humans.
Mm, I believe my view is right.
All creatures are equal.
Of course, if your religion is different than mine, that may also play a role in your views.
However, I will leave it at that.
I hope you do not get eaten as well, but I'm not regarding that in the sense of the argument.
I wouldn't want someone I normally get along with to get hurt by anything.

Well, maybe the reason why bears are mroe prone tp attack peopel up their is because they might think you're threating them. I mean, if you try to scare them, they're bound to not like you.

Re: 1000~8~!
Yeah, I was thinking about that.
Maybe they hear the other bears being killed and grow wary.
Thus, when they see a human, they feel threatened already and attack instantly.
It's the same thing as being in the same room as a murderer.
You don't want them to hurt you, so you try to hurt them first.
That, or call the police.
But in the mean time, you still have to defend yourself.

Re: 1000~8~!
hmm true. Too bad I can't carry a gun. For protection purposes of course. I wouldn't shoot anything for fun, that wouldn't be fun at all, just mean. But the likeliness of shooting a person by accident is way higher than shooting a bear, and besides, it would take like a bazooka or something lol
And your supposed to make noise around bears HS7, they like to know you're there. If you startle them it scares them and they'll most likely attack. If you make noise the whole time they hear you and stay away. Well unless it's an aggressive one....but for the most part bears don't like lots of loud noises.
Luckily we saw no bears. we did see a moose but to get charged by a moose, she either has a baby so feels protective, or just doing something stupid to make it mad
and well I'm glad you don't want me to get eaten by a bear that wouldn't be much fun.....I don't think we were even arguing the same point anymore anyways.

Re: 1000~8~!
Yeah. I don't really think we are. ^^
But if you scare them, you startle them. Same thing. Warning them is different, but scaring the poopy out of them is a different story.

good grief yes I said scare. Scare them away so they know you're there. It's a warning.
This is pointless

...August 26th is a Sunday. xP
I thought that was when I went back to school, but I checked and saw that it was on a weekend, so that can't be it...
My mom told me I go to school like a week before Labor Day or something...
