Re: The Pronunciations Thread!
I guess I'm just a day person. Day-ta and satur-day. (Actually, I'm not. )
But then again, I use the dee in dee-tails. Hmm.
Sometimes, I wear my jer-zees because, well, why not?
And don't be so sub-tile becuase I say it really awkwardly...
________________________________________________
And now to add on to the list...
1) I dunno why, but I say the name Austin with an accent on the 'a'. Like a British accent. That seems to be the only word, though.
2) Dang I just forgot it...

Determine.
Den-ter-mine
Dee-ter-min
....I say it the first way.
We'll add this to the list of words Starr can't pronounce.

Re: The Pronunciations Thread!
Well the second way obviously there is no "n" in the beginning. I don't think I've ever heard it another way.
Did we to route already? I think we did. I have a good one but I forgot it D:

Saa-min
I don't get how people can't pronounce words when they're over the age of two. You hear it, and then you say it......easy :/

Re: The Pronunciations Thread!
Pro-poor-shun or per-poor-shun.
It's not exactly 'easy'.
When you grow up saying something one way, it comes out that way and it's hard to break that habit.
I'm a pretty phonetic person. I go by how something is spelt. So when I can't say "salmon" or "genre", that's the reason for that.
I also was in speech therapy when I was in first grade.

Re: The Pronunciations Thread!
I don't see how it isn't easy, but I'm an auditory learner. I hear it and copy rather than see and copy. I suppose you just need to grow up saying it the right way, which you can't change now
Re: The Pronunciations Thread!
Pruh - poor - shuhn
I usually just say things how I feel like saying them. xP
Like apparently the way I say eczema (which does come up in a lot of conversations for me, seeing as I have it xP) is wrong (eck - zee - muh) and that it is actually eck - zuh - muh. But. Yeah.

Re: The Pronunciations Thread!
I just say things how they're supposed to be said, in my own accent of course. I get pronouncing things the way your accent does, but if you know how a word is supposed to sound, I don't know, it just makes sense to say them that way......though I suppose it always could pop out wrong haha
Re: The Pronunciations Thread!
Sometimes the person's arrangement of teeth and their mouth and stuff can play a role in it, too. Like some people's teeth get in the way of their tongue and make them pronounce things differently than they intended to.

sime-ul-taneous
And
history

First for the first one, and I alternate between the last two on the second
