I thought most people on the east coast say super. All my east coast family does. I think it's weird.

I figure you guys don't talk about this much but I saw them outside tonight so I wondered do you say:

Northern Lights
or
Aurora Borealis

Nahhh I say dinner too.

I've never really talked about it, but I usually hear it called the northern lights. It's a little easier to say than its counterpart, so I'd probably say it too.

Double post, sorry.

BUT.
What do you call the street you live on, when referring to it and all the houses/families that live on it?
Block, or do you simply call it street?

I use both. If I'm talking about only my street, than it's a street. If I'm talking about me street and the streets around it, then I say block or sometimes neighborhood.

I usually just say neighborhood instead... but that's mostly because it's a really small neighborhood.

When you say "what's the matter?" do you actually say the "the" or do you say it like "what's-a matter?"
I say it the second way; it's common around here, apparently. xP I was just wondering if it's common elsewhere as well.

I usually say "What's the matter". I may switch every so often.

Oooooh I had one but I forgot what it was... gah!

Nonono wait! It literally just came to me. Do you guys say: muh-new-err oooooor muh-noor when saying manure?

I'm the first and my cousins are the same way but my mom/aunt/uncle say it the second way. :/

The syllables in a word can also affect how you pronounce each part, so.

Just cause I'm massively bored......

In a road, where you get to a circle, do you call it a rotary or roundabout?
Here we call them roundabouts, but while living on the east coast, my mom called them rotaries.

And also,

tiara

Tee-air-ah
Tee-r-ah

I heard a say it the first way on the radio, and I couldn't decide which way I liked. But I'm learning towards the second.
