Oh yeah, I forgot to mention though, about those pills that can cause suicidal thoughts, but that's getting super technical. xP They still help people, but they do pose a potential risk.

Well if we went by that logic, then prescription drugs wouldn't exist at all. You gotta take risks sometimes, yeh.

If I broke my neck.....or suffered severe brain trauma, I'd want someone to kill me......just saying. So I agree that euthanasia isn't always a bad thing. I don't know anyone who would rather live on life support than die.

What I find ironic is that some depression medicine can give you suicidal thoughts......seems a little counter intuitive.

The doctor knows that yes, he would be helping them kill themselves. But even so, he's just helping them ease their path. Just like when people who are on life-support or are in a comma and the patients are like, "Well, do you want to continue to have them on life support... or take them off?" I don't see much of a difference between the two.

I meant if the patients knew that the doctor was giving them something that would kill them or not. xP
If it is to help them... I just think they'd need to know, since it should ultimately be their choice whether to end their life or not. If they choose to, it is suicide. If not, it's murder.

I also find the fact that depression medication sometimes causes suicidal thoughts ironic. But I guess some things are hard to avoid, because of the chemicals used to make the medicine and whatnot. xP

You see, if the patient is on life support, they do not have the ability to think for themselves, so someone else has to choose for them.

If the person chooses to take them off life support, it's still considered murder.
