Poems by Ritsuka
Dictator
See the statue move?
See the birds freeze in flight?
See the cars all stop?
The time has come
For us to stand
And defend everything we beleive in
From those who wish
To tear it away
And mold it anew
So our freedom is constricted
And out choices are taken
Protect our Loved Ones
From this wave of darkness
As it washes over us
Sweeping away our old lives
And repllacing them with new ones
Clean slates we are given
To live under their rules

My Love
Me
Lost in
A happy night
With nervous students
Dancing around and about
Wearing nice dresses and suits
I watch him glide across the floor
Pulling a girl along with him to the music
As I sit all by my lonesome in the darkest corner
His swishing blonde hair and crystal blue eyes peirce me
For only a moment, I sit in complete wonder at his cringing stare
Until his eyes lift from mine and I am alone once more
Left with no one to hold, no one to hold me
Not a kind soul had asked me to come
I came on my own will by myself
Able the misunderstood boy
Able the weak-minded
That is my prom
And forever
It will be
Me

Re: Poems by Ritsuka
Both poems were great. I like how the last one is in a pyramid shape on its side. But in the last poem on the line 4th to the last, shouldn't it be 'my' instead of 'me'? Just wondering.

Wow, that was really good! I love how it flows, and the way you end it! It's awessome!
Re: Poems by Ritsuka
Thank you, I appreciate it. This is focused off of my 9th grade dance, which was aweful. None of my friends showed, so I just watched people dance for hours.
Re: Poems by Ritsuka
I just have one question: How can you be in 9th grade when you are 13?? It says on the thing to the left or your posts.
Age: 13
I don't uderstand.

Me
I watch
As He gazes
Across the floor
From the snack table
Into my shy, young face
At me staring back in awe
His group of girls has gone away
So now He stands erect all by himself
And my heart pounds, and flutters lightly
As his flawless smile gazes into my pure soul
To read and decipher my hidden desires
But to my suprise, he motions gently
For me to join him at his side
So I rise from the stands
And glide around teens
As his arm pulls me
Right up to him
I stare up
In awe
Him
